From the start, the goal of the project was to design a website that showcases and supports the future that The Ranch Mine is building.
It was an absolute pleasure getting to collaborate with The Ranch Mine to build their new website. Founded by Cavin and Claire Costello, The Ranch Mine is a 3-time national award-winning husband and wife led architecture firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. They specialize in designing homes for people with the "pioneer spirit", the dreamers and seekers who believe a better world starts at home. Their work has been featured by organizations such as: Architectural Record, Dwell, Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, and Luxe Magazine.
Honing in on the pioneer spirit, we wanted to craft a website that would stray away from conventional thinking and integrate elements that break the norm. This resulted in the experimentation with and use of a "frosted glass" blur for menu and navigation elements, as well as an edgy, square "Menu" button (on small screen sizes). To fit the contemporary style of The Ranch Mine's work, we opted to utilize a dark background and white text. This also aided in keeping the focus on the beautiful shots of the homes they have designed. To top off the site, we created subtle animations to reflect the high-end nature of The Ranch Mine's work.
One major consideration for the site, was building the site on a platform that would allow for scalability and simple post-launch management. Webflow fit this criteria perfectly. With Webflow's "Editor", it is quick and intuitive to change text and images on the site. Additionally, Webflow's "Collections" (databases) make adding/adjusting/deleting projects, testimonials, and team members a breeze. This will be key as The Ranch Mine continues to grow.
We had the pleasure of working with CDH on our website, www.theranchmine.com. Jeff was fantastic to work with. Timely, professional, creative, and collaborative. We highly recommend CDH for your website needs if you are an Architect like us, or work in a related field such as interior design, builder, landscape architect, etc.
